Shinjuku is the centre of excitement and shopping and is a “MUST SEE” part of any visit to Tokyo. From this convenient house you can walk to all that Shinjuku has to offer. Shinjuku department store district, Shinjuku ni-chome nightlife, Shinjuku san-chome nightlife, “Golden Gai” and Kabukicho. Plus Okubo and Shin-Okubo Korean Town is just moments away.

There are three separate living levels including a balcony providing lots of space to stretch out and relax in a quiet space just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku.

Please note there are steep stairs inside this house and so may not be suitable for people with mobility concerns. There is also limited space for luggage so please travel light.

Area Information

It would be hard to get a better location for sightseeing. Enjoy a 10 minute stroll through to all the large department store shopping in Shinjuku East.

The house is in a quiet and safe street but only a few minutes walk from all the fun and funky shops, bars and restaurants in Shinjuku East, Shinjuku ni-chome clubs, Okubo (Korea town), Golden Gai and Kabukicho.

The streets are fairly typical of suburban Tokyo and some urban hiking reveals interesting architecture as well as many green spaces.

On days when you want to stick close to home, the neighbourhood bustles with restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and other amenities. There is a grocery store nearby perfect for stocking breakfast and for snacks, we suggest any of the nearby convenience stores which are open 24 hours.

A lovely vegan restaurant is just a block away – vegan food is rare in Japan so if you are a vegan or vegetarian, this will be very useful for you.

Property Information

There is a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and living/dining area for relaxing together.

The kitchen is equipped with a gas burners, microwave oven, toaster, full-sized fridge, kettle, pans, cooking utensils, plus crockery and cutlery. We include complimentary coffee and tea.

A dining area and lounge room occupy a middle floor of this 3 story house. There is a dining table suitable for family meals.

High-speed WiFi internet is inside the apartment plus a portable WiFi unit is also available for you to carry around town with (website hidden) and DVD player with a selection of DVDs are included. AppleTV is included so you can easily stream from your smart phone or laptop over WiFi through the TV. Or log into your own iTunes or Hulu or Netflix account and watch on-demand TV and movies.

There is one bathroom with a washlet toilet and modern designer fittings.

All essentials like soap, shampoo & conditioner, toilet paper, towels and linens are included. All you need to bring is your clothes and personal items.

You will have full private use of the house and this is professionally cleaned between guests. There are always plenty of clean linens and towels. If you would like a cleaning and linen service mid-stay, let us know and we can arrange this for a fee.

If traveling with children, we can also recommend a wonderful English speaking babysitter who can take care of your little ones in the house while you experience the bright lights of the big city or romantic dinner.

We have also included a selection of novels and travel brochures, walking maps and a Lonely Planet for you to use during your stay. We are happy to recommend out of the way places and local knowledge of our combined 20 years living in Tokyo.

We will personally meet and greet you and show you through the house and how to use everything. After this, the house is for your private use. Let us know if you need anything and we will happily accommodate most requests.

Transit Information

Higashi-Shinjuku station is around 3 minutes walk with the Oedo Subway line and the Fukutoshin subway line. The JR Shinjuku station is about 15 minutes walk or just one stop on the Oedo line.

From these stations you can easily access all other parts of Tokyo.

Shibuya: 8 minutes

Roppongi: 12 minutes

Ginza: 17 minutes

Akihabara: 17 minutes

Ueno: 24 minutes

Tsukiji: 26 minutes

Asakusa: 26 minutes

There are buses to Shibuya and Omotesando within minutes of the front door.
